Allergy and immunology specialist Dr. Joseph F. Alexander Jr. MD, Inc. located in Akron, Ohio has recently chosen to utilize the services of Summit I.T. Solutions, Inc. to assist in the installation of their new Electronic Medical Records (EMR) application eClinicalWorks (eCW).
Summit I.T. Solutions was responsible for laying the ground work for the installation as well as working closely with the doctor’s office management to provide technical support as the software was being installed and “Go Live Support” while the system was brought on-line.
The overall cost of the project was able to be reduced because the professionals at Summit I.T. Solutions upgraded the memory of the existing personal computers rather than purchase all new hardware.
Summit I.T. solutions installed a Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Cisco wireless access points as well as supported the upgrade of the Internet service to Time Warner Cable Business Class.
Dr. Alexander was assisted with the installation of Dragon Naturally Speaking, which is a voice recognition software application that has proven very useful in improving documentation for medical practice.
Summit I.T. was instrumental in coordinating a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection with Summa Health System as well as completing the data conversions from the previous practice management system.
